Step One
This group of classes was developed to introduce everyone to Christianity, The Grove, and to ministry. As you desire to become a believer and a more active member, we hope you will take these three groups of classes.
First Steps meets Sundays at 9 a.m. in D-5 This is a an ongoing and recurring four-session class which discusses the basic “first steps” to deciding to follow Christ. It is an excellent class to voice questions and discuss the life of a believer. Even if you’ve been a believer for years, this class will help you to articulate to others the essentials of your salvation.
Discovering The Grove meets once a quarter (sign ups required). Please call for a schedule of classes. This is a required class for those wishing to become an official member of The Grove. It is a time to get to know about our pastor, our history, and our church’s mission and core values.
Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts meets once a quarter. Please call for a schedule of classes. In this class we will discuss what spiritual gifts are, how they are used and then take three simple evaluations/tests to determine your passions, spiritual gifts and personal style. There will be one-on-one consultations following the class to help suggest ministries that are especially fit for the way God created you.

Step Two
In a desire to move believers closer to Christ-Centeredness, the pastoral team has come up with 18 classes they feel have helped them move toward that goal.
O † O O O *
This group of classes consists of three tracks and is meant to give believers the fundamental knowledge and behavior supporting their Christian life.
The first track of seven classes will cover doctrinal issues and concepts on which we base our understanding of God and His Word.
In the second track of seven classes we will discuss the elements and practices of our spiritual walk.
The final track of four classes will explain The Grove’s Purpose and Core Values.
* This symbol, four circles and a cross, is explained in the sermon on October 26, 2008. If you’d like to hear this concept, go to the video's page.
