Grove family,

I forgot to mention something important in my e-mail to you on Wednesday so I wanted to include that information as well as a few reminders of important events this weekend.

Grovestock

Don’t forget Grovestock tonight at 7 p.m. If you don’t have the money for a ticket right now, don’t worry, we will give you a free ticket at the door. Just come, it will be a great time and you will be blessed.

Spasenie and Donated Musical Instruments

This weekend will also be a great time to invite some of your friends. Our special guest for the celebration services is Rex Hudler and our worship team, Spasenie, is joining us from Belarus (a country between Poland and Russia). In my last e-mail I forgot to mention the following from Adam McIntyre: “Spasenie, a band which we have ministered with in Belarus, will be leading us in worship this weekend. As they have been traveling through the U.S. they have been collecting old musical instruments for schools in Belarus. If you have any good musical instruments gathering dust under your beds, sitting in the rafters of your garages or hanging on walls as a reminder of bygone years, then Spasenie has a great use and future for them in the service of the Lord. Bring them this weekend and they will take them back home. Someone from another church has offered to pay the cost to ship them so all we have to do is bring them to the church.”

To all the Veterans at The Grove – we love you and thank you for all you have done to keep our country safe and free.  I wish we could do something big to show you how much we appreciate you but this is what we can do this weekend:  If you are a veteran just go to the Hub, tell them you are a veteran, and you can have a free cup of coffee, a soft drink or a specialty drink free.  It is just one small way we can say thanks.  I think it would be good for every family at The Grove to take a few minutes the next day or two to have a family prayer time thanking God for our freedom and all those who have served our country so well.

This weekend Rex Hudler will be signing his books for those who want to purchase his book after the Saturday service and the 9 a.m. service on Sunday.  I’m sorry, but he has to catch a plane right after the last service and won’t be able to stay to sign books.

Meet the Staff

Lastly, the staff would love to meet you if you have the time. We have set aside one Saturday morning each month to do so and hope this coming Saturday, November 14, will be a time we can do that with you. We are meeting in Room D-4 from 10-11 a.m. to share some coffee and donuts and just get to know each other. Hope you can be there!

See you this weekend.
