To my Grove family,
This week we begin a new four-week series called, “We Will All Be Remembered for Something”, and Pastor Daniel will be speaking in all of the weekend services. His message for this week is, “A Person of Wisdom”, and he will be speaking from all of the book of Proverbs with emphasis on Proverbs 8. Erick Burgos will lead the Spanish service in the Chapel at 10:45 a.m.and Bob Pope will lead the Traditional Service in the Chapel at 9 a.m.
We will also have a special Barbershop Quartet singing a version of God Bless America as we start each service. You won’t want to miss it!
Neighborhood Day Camp
This year instead of going up to the mountains for summer camp, camp will be coming to The Grove! The Grove is hosting Neighborhood Day Camp which will be put on by Forest Home. Camp will be open to 3rd through 6th Grade (Fall 2016) and will run July 18-22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. At camp, students will become heroes in training as they hone these skills and get ready for the adventure of a life time. With Scripture as our textbook, we will learn all about our own superpowers as we discover God’s gift for us. Cost is only $190 per child. Email email@example.com if you have any questions! To register, please click here.
We are also looking for host homes to house the Forest Home staff who will be running the camp. All they need is a bedroom with a door and a light breakfast in the morning beginning July 17 through July 22. Transportation to and from your home is provided. If you can be a host home you will receive a $20 discount on your student’s registration for the camp. For more information, please contact Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Youth Soccer League
Registration for our Youth Soccer League increases in price on July 1 for ages pre-K (4 years old as of September 1) through 8th grade. Registration and more details can be found at www.thegrove.cc/sports. If you have 3+ kids we have a discount available. Please contact Kendall Brown at email@example.com or 951-571-9090 x2145 before you register or for any other questions.
Our next baptism is Sunday, July 10, after the 5 p.m. service. This weekend we will have our “Talk on Baptism” after each service. We will meet by the Prayer Room and answer any questions you might have regarding baptism. We will also have you fill out some paperwork that the church needs. Come join us and learn what it means to be baptized.
On Saturday evening the Hub special will be barbecue tri tip served with potatoes, vegetables, and a beverage for $13.95 plus tax. There will be a dessert of the chef’s choice for all guests. Our free “Uncrustable” peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fruit cup, chocolate chip cookie, and Kool-Aid juice packet is for our guests 12 and under with a purchased adult entrée.
Looking forward to seeing you all this weekend.
