The Grove’s Weekly Message from Tom – Sept 21

By September 21, 2016 November 19th, 2019 Tom's Weekly Email

To my Grove family,

Weekend Message
Big thanks to Pastor Daniel Bishop for filling in for me and preaching the second chapter of my upcoming book. He made it his own sermon and it was awesome. If for some reason you have not heard Daniel’s message you need to go to our website and listen to it, you will be so glad you did. This week I am preaching in all the services a sermon I am calling, “Because He Is God and I Am Not”. If you will read Job 38-39 you will be ready for the message. As always Erick Burgos will be teaching the same lesson in the Spanish Service at 10:45 a.m. in the Chapel.

The Book Is Coming Along
The book I am writing called “Resolved” is coming along but not quite as fast as we had hoped. The first edit that Carol is doing takes about 1 ½ weeks so chapter 2 will be up this evening. I’d love it if you would read over the chapter and make comments, add stories, verses or illustrations that you think might help. I am really thankful for Carol doing this for me along with all the other things she does for her regular work during the week. When the book is complete we will turn it over to those who will edit it again before we see about publishing it at a later date. Right now I see it being complete at the end of January or February. It is something we are doing on top of our normal work so it is a bit slower coming than we first anticipated, but it is coming! Thanks to so many of you who have already begun your personal, Biblical, theology of God and for the many great comments and ideas as well.
