To my Grove family,
This Weekend’s Message
This weekend I am going to conclude my book and series called “Resolved”. I am preaching in the Saturday night and Sunday morning services a sermon I am calling, “Resolved Plus”. For years I have lived my life by my Personal, Biblical, Theology of God and my Pre-Determined Principles plus three guiding thoughts that I learned from my father and my Christian life. I want to share those three thoughts with you this weekend as we wrap up the series. Pastor Trevor will be preaching in the Sunday night service a message of his own called, ”Resolved to Remain”, and Erick Burgos as always will be speaking in the Spanish service at 10:45 a.m. in the Chapel. Chapter four of my book will be up on the website this Friday. It is taking a bit longer than we originally figured to get the first edit up and ready for you to read. Thanks for your patience.
We Need Your Help
Calling Grove Men! We need four to five volunteers next Thursday and Friday (October 13 and October 14) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You will be assisting two carpenters from Tilden-Coil to put landscape borders around our new soccer field and trees east of the Worship Center. If you’re available or if you have questions, please contact Dave Wilbert at 951-675-0325.
Riverside Life Services
We have a local ministries opportunity for Riverside Life Services Pregnancy Center. They are in need of a bilingual volunteer receptionist one to two days a week for a few hours. If you are interested, please contact Hannah Hunter at email@example.com.
FREE Flu Shot
We’ve had a great summer but flu and cold season is right around the corner and getting the flu vaccine is one way to avoid the flu. Our local Walgreens would like to offer FREE flu shots on Monday, October 10, from 4-8 p.m., here at The Grove. In order to receive the free flu shot you need to sign up here and then come to The Grove onOctober 10 at the time you selected. You must be at least 9 years old and bring the consent form with the first page completed (the second page is for the pharmacist to fill in). If you have any questions, please contact Kathleen at Kstrebel@thegrove.cc.
We had an urgent request from one of our members whose son has mysteriously disappeared and his car was found stolen. Here is a flyer and if any of you can help with this, Cindy and her family would be extremely grateful.
Rend Collective with Urban Rescue is coming to The Grove on Thursday, October 20, at 7 PM (doors open at 6 PM). Tickets are available at ticketfly.com.
