The Grove’s Weekly Message from Tom – March 8, 2017

By March 9, 2017 November 19th, 2019 Tom's Weekly Email

To my Grove family,

This Weekend’s Services
This weekend will be a very special time at The Grove as our men will be returning from their outreach trek to Belize and will be in charge of the entire service. They have a lot of great stories to tell in person and on video and a message that I know you will not want to miss. They (about 100 of them) will be the Grove choir for the weekend. This is always a very special time when our men return from this outreach trip; make sure to be here and invite a friend.

Free Fun Night for the Family
CBU has invited The Grove to attend a free baseball game on Thursday, March 16, at 6:00 p.m., vs. Dixie State. Pick up a flyer at the Welcome Counters (or you can click here to access the digital flyer for printing) and bring it with you for free admission to the game.

For tonight’s Family Night, the Hub special is pulled pork stuffed baked potato with a side of cole slaw for $8.40 plus tax. On Saturday evening, the special will be chicken fajitas served with homemade beans and rice for $10.95 plus tax. There will be a dessert Saturday night of the chef’s choice for all guests. Our free “Uncrustable” peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fruit cup, and Kool-Aid juice packet is free for our guests 12 and under with an adult entrée purchase on Saturday evening. On Sunday, we will have a breakfast and lunch special chosen by our team of chefs. The Hub is still seeking volunteers for our events department. Please email Adrienne Bardos if you are interested.

Walk and Picnic
As part of our Rise Up and Shine in Prayer focus this month, we will have our All-Church Prayer Walk at Mt. Rubidoux on Saturday, March 25. Families are encouraged to hike Mt. Rubidoux at their leisure and at any time that is convenient for them, stop to pray where they feel led. After people have completed their hike, they are welcome to meet up at Ryan Bonaminio Park (5000 Tequesquite Ave., Riverside, CA 92506) anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to have a picnic. We will have a meeting spot at the far west end of the park near the children’s playground. Everyone needs to bring their own blanket, chairs, lunches, and drinks. No food or drink will be provided. This should be a great day of prayer and fellowship with our church family!
