By | Tom's Weekly Email

To my Grove family,

Weekend Message
This will be a very special weekend at The Grove as Pastor Daniel Bishop continues our series, “When No One Is Looking”, with his message entitled, “Dangerous Minds”. If you will read Matthew 6:25-34 you will be ready for the weekend message. Come early to get a cup of free coffee from the HUB and a breakfast burrito or something yummy!

Everybody Can Do Something
Are you looking for a place to use your God-given talents and gifts? Benevolence Offering
If you were here last weekend then you know I asked you to give a special benevolence offering for our kids’ house in Thailand (Remember Nhu) as their well went dry and they have no water. They needed $7,000 dollars to dig their well deeper so I asked you to give double as we normally give around $3,000 each time we take a benevolence offering. Do you know what the total was? I will tell you tomorrow in a special email to the church. Let me just say again, “You are an awesome church”.

HUB Specials
On Saturday, enjoy chicken fajitas with cilantro rice and refried beans served with a beverage for $9.95. There will be a dessert Saturday night of the chef’s choice for all guests who order the special. Sunday we will have a ham and mushroom omelet for our breakfast special for $7.40 and a meatball sandwich for our lunch special for $6.40!

The Grove’s Weekly Message from Pastor Daniel – July 12, 2017

By | Tom's Weekly Email
Grove family,

Weekend Message
This weekend we will continue our series through the Sermon On The Mount as I will be speaking through Matthew 5:33-37. The title of the sermon will be, “Speaking with Integrity”, as we look at taking our words to the next level. A special thanks goes out to Pastor Trevor Christmas for filling in for Tom last weekend and doing a great job with the hard topic of marriage, sin, and divorce. You should listen to his sermon online if you missed it. He mentioned Tom’s tips on how to have a great and healthy marriage. Click here to see Tom’s tips. Tom is feeling much better this week and appreciates your prayers and concern for him.

New Grove Stickers
This weekend we will have available our new all white Grove bumper stickers. It’s amazing how many people say they first heard about The Grove by seeing a Grove bumper sticker on a car in front of them. I am constantly pressuring my friends to put a Grove sticker on their car and represent our church; however, some of them have told me they will not put a sticker on their car because the red and black does not match their paint color. They have told me they would put one on if we made all white ones. Well…here you go!!! We now have white Grove stickers ready for all of you stragglers ;). Hope you enjoy them and rock them on your cars!

High School Summer Camp
High School Summer Camp starts this Sunday (July 16-21). We believe summer camp is the best opportunity we provide to connect students to the Overflow (high school group). There are still spots available for our Neighborhood Day Camp next week, July 17-21. Neighborhood Day Camp is our summer camp for incoming 3rd-6th graders. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Instead of heading up the mountain to go stay at camp, we bring camp to us! It’s put on by the staff at Forest Home. The kids will have a blast each day doing large group worship, playing games, trying out the rock wall, and other high adventure activities, while learning more about God. The cost of Camp is $200/child and scholarships are available. Click here to register. If you have any questions, please contact the Grove KIDS staff at kids@thegrove.cc.
