MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an international organization for moms with young children. Whether you’re pregnant with your first baby or have infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or kindergartners, MOPS is for you. MOPS provides an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together.
The Grove MOPS exists to support, encourage, and nurture moms by meeting their distinct needs in a relaxed atmosphere of caring, sharing, and fun.
MOPS is primarily led by other mothers, with some “seasoned moms” who are available to assist younger moms with encouragement and guidance.
Times and location
MOPS takes place Tuesday mornings, 9:00-11:30am, in Room C-100 on the Grove campus.
The first semester runs September 11-December 4, 2018 and the second semester runs January 29-May 21, 2019. The cost for each semester is $60 and there is a cost of $40 per semester for each child.
The $40/child MOPPET fee only partially covers childcare workers, craft materials, and snacks, so we have two fundraisers during the year to help cover the rest.
MOPS preregistration is required. Please contact Candis at for information and to register for MOPS and MOPPETS.
What to expect?
At each meeting, moms enjoy a hot breakfast while having an opportunity to build relationships, followed by either a guest speaker (on a topic of interest to moms) or a fun craft and group discussion.
It is a time for moms to support and encourage one another and at the same time, their little ones are being cared for and taught by a loving staff of teachers in the MOPPETS program.
In addition to the weekly meetings, special events are planned periodically for outings with and without children.
