Isaac Elliot, Preteen Ministry Director
I grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest under two parents who love the Lord. From a young age, I was immersed in the church and received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was six years old. Growing up, I battled through multiple medical conditions and struggled to recognize my true identity in Christ. Through it all, the Lord strengthened me and continued to remind me of His faithfulness, steadfast love, and incomparable joy. In 2018, I moved down to Riverside to attend California Baptist University. In college, I had the privilege of being discipled by some incredible people, who modeled the diligence and discipline it takes to follow Jesus. I began to hear the call into ministry towards the end of my time at CBU, and I am blessed to live out this calling here at The Grove.
A fun fact about me: I am very competitive and enjoy almost anything sports-related! I grew up playing baseball but also enjoy football, basketball, volleyball, spikeball… you name it!
My prayer for The Grove is that we would be a church that sees people the way God sees them. I pray the reality of eternity would spur us toward loving others like Jesus did – that we would be a church committed to taking action, understanding the urgency of the Gospel and the implications it has for us and those around us. I also pray for a new generation of youth who will boldly and courageously surrender their lives to follow Jesus. May we be a church that faithfully teaches God’s Word to equip the next generation!
