I grew up in church because my parents were incredibly faithful to God and our little church in Arizona. I learned all the Bible stories and was even baptized as a child. It wasn't until I was thirteen when I began to question what I had been taught. It came down to this: either Jesus Christ was who He said He was and did the most spectacular thing ever for people, or it was the biggest hoax you can imagine. As I processed, one thing I could never challenge was the changed lives of the people in that church. The only common denominator was their encounter with Christ who changed their lives. I accepted Christ when I was 14. That decision changed my life and set the course of my life. I entered ministry out of Bible college and have been a pastor since I was 22 years old. I have been here at The Grove since 1992. I feel blessed to be part of something bigger than myself and to serve in my areas of giftedness. My wife, Debbie, and I have raised our children here and are blessed that they and their spouses live in town and they all know Christ.  Our joy now is our grandchildren. God has been so good to us!

We love spending time in the desert or beach and always with our family here in town. I gained a passion for law enforcement in 2007 and have served as a volunteer chaplain with the Riverside Police Department since.

My prayer for The Grove is for growth, changed lives, and that we would always listen to God's leading for what we do and where we head.
