Jon Hurst, Executive Pastor

I was blessed to grow up in a home with parents who modeled what a relationship with God looks like. Throughout my childhood I came to a progressively deeper understanding of what it means to have faith and to surrender my life to God. High school was an especially pivotal season for me - for the first time I really grasped the extent of God’s grace and mercy in salvation. I continued to grow in my faith while in college and had the opportunity to work full-time in college student ministry after graduating. During college I met the love of my life, Amy, and we now have four wonderful kids.

I came to serve here at The Grove as Executive Pastor in 2016 following two and half years at a church in Orange County where I was trained in ministry. Before being a pastor I had careers in finance and law. During my time here at The Grove I have loved being a part of a healthy and growing church with a passion to be a blessing to all people!

A fun fact about me: I love visiting national parks with my family. We are currently at seventeen parks, and counting!

My prayer for The Grove is that we would serve the Lord in humility and faithfulness, continuing to be a blessing to all people here in Riverside and around the world. May we walk with God in wisdom and truth all the days He has given us.
