Sam Boone, Family Pastor

I was blessed to grow up in a home with a single mom who prayed for us, pointed us to Jesus, and took us to church every single week. However, I didn’t surrender my life to God until I was 14 years old. I went to a summer camp and the camp speaker spent the entire week talking about the death and suffering of Christ. I had heard the Gospel message many times growing up, but it was at that camp that I realized how deeply God loved me and what the sacrifice of Jesus meant for me personally.

My wife, Stacey, and I started attending The Grove in 2000, when I came on staff as the Jr. High Pastor. I served in the Jr. High and High School ministries from 2000-2009. From 2009-2021, I was able to take all that I had learned at The Grove as I served in a few other churches as a Senior Pastor, Family Pastor, and Director for Youth Ministry. Stacey and I were so thrilled to be called back to The Grove in 2021 as the Family Pastor. We absolutely love The Grove family! Being back on staff feels like coming home!

I love surfing and the beach and I’m always looking for opportunities to get out in the water.

My prayer for The Grove is that we would be faithful to loving God, loving all people, and sharing the Good News of Jesus! For our Grove families, I pray that we would live Godly lives and point the next generation to love and follow the Lord!
