Join us for this C.S. Lewis Class discussing his book, "The Abolition of Man." We’ll meet on Sundays at 9:30 AM in Room D-2 from April 27-May 11. Decades before phrases like "live your truth" and "my truth" became commonplace, moral relativism had already become lodged in Western culture. In "The Abolition of Man," C.S. Lewis diagnoses the problem of the teaching of relative values in schools and provides a defense of universal absolute values, what many call "natural law" or "general revelation." (Romans 1) Providing examples of these truths from a variety of religious traditions, Lewis provides a warning that we will lose our humanity if we fail to educate our children in these universal values, what Paul also calls the law "written on our hearts." (Romans 2:15)
This six-week class will cover the timeless principles of leadership recorded in the book of Nehemiah applicable to everyone regardless of your status or position. One of our Lay Ministers, Dr. John Marselus, will be sharing over the course of 6 weeks in Room D-2 on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM from March 16 to April 13.
